Today we had some parent volunteers from the PTO come in and work on some art projects that will be displayed at an art show in the spring. Some of these special projects will be available to own through a raffle. Stay tuned for more details.
In math we began learning about time and reviewed time to the hour and half hour. Students made their own clocks out of paper plates to help them understand parts of the clock and to use as a tool for future activities.
Underneath each flap reads the number of minutes.
We also finished our Hopi symbol stories and our corn symbols. Be sure to check them out in our hallway display!

Winter Recess: Every effort is made for students to go out to recess, even in cold temperatures. Please be sure that your child is prepared for winter temperatures and weather conditions. Students do have indoor recess when temperatures and wind chills are extreme.
No school on Monday, January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day
2C will go to the Danforth Museum on Thursday, January 22. A notice will be sent home next week to help you prepare for the field trip.
There will be no word study homework next week (1/20/15-1/23) due to the short week.
