Homework in 2C
Homework is sent home Monday through Thursday. In second grade, our goal is for students to establish a solid routine for homework. It is the students responsibility to bring homework home, complete it, put it in their backpack, and return it to the finished work bin the next morning. Homework should take about 20 minutes. (Homework is for practice, not for challenge.) In addition, students are expected to be reading (independently, to a parent, to a sibing, taking turns with a parent, listening to a parent/sibling) for at least 20 minutes EVERY night.
Each week, there are some homework assignments that will be routine throughout the year. Exceptions are short weeks or weeks with no school on Monday.
Monday: Fundations Sentences
Tuesday: Math, Social Studies, Literacy or Science
Wednesday: Math, Social Studies, Literacy or Science
Thursday: Fundations Practice Sheet
