This week we continued our work with place value through math stations. We made a science observation of our fall leaves in our journals. We also finished up our interviews with our fourth grade buddies.
On Thursday, we started a new program called Critical and Creative Thinking (CCT). Second graders work with Ms. P to tackle problem solving, thinking in different ways, and becoming flexible thinkers. We started the first class with an activity called "What's in the bag?" Students came up with imaginative and realistic ideas. They brainstormed and organized their thoughts as a whole class. Next week, we will continue the activity.

* There have been some students in 2C that have misplaced their jackets. Please check at home to see if you have any items that don't belong to your child or that might have accidentally been taken. There is a blue gap raincoat, a black Northface, and a fall type jacket that are missing.
* I recommend writing names in all of your child's belongings, especially with the winter season just around the corner.
Thanks for the help and have a wonderful weekend!
